NL High School hosts state legislators

NEW LONDON – Local school board members had the opportunity to engage directly with state legislators at New London High School March 31.
State legislators in attendance included state senators Rachel Cabral-Guevara and Cory Tomczyk, and state representatives David Murphy, Kevin Peterson, Joel Kitchens, Brent Jacobson and Elijah Behnke.
School board members and school administrators from the New London, Manawa, Weyauwega-Fremont, Marion, and Wild Rose school districts shared both local successes and key priorities. Discussions focused on funding sustainability, school safety, academic achievement, and teacher recruitment.
Attendees appreciated the chance to voice their concerns and collaborate with legislators in person.
