Gail Jean Olson-Smith, age 70 passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024 in Wild Rose, WI. Gail was born on September 6, 1954; daughter of the late William and Joyce (Knutsen) Olson in Waupaca, WI. She graduated from Weyauwega High School and earned a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah. Gail was known for her nature pictures especially sunrises and sunsets with shadow ones. She loved her walks whether it be the beach, “wash” or woods. Mom’s job was to care for patients but she cared for everything around her. Gail made friends wherever she went.
Gail is survived by her children, Nicole (Lee) Melton, Maile Smith, sisters, Cindy Anderson, Judy Overton, Diana Olson, brother, Brian (Mary) Olson-Bissing and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at Holly’s.
