STEVENS POINT — Following a months-long search for the next police chief, the Police and Fire Commission voted to approve Edward Orgon Jr. as the next Stevens Point Police Chief on Dec. 8.
Orgon will take over the role from Chief Bob Kussow who is set to retire in January 2026.
Edward Orgon Jr. has been in law enforcement for thirty years. Prior to his swearing in, he will undergo a routine medical and physical evaluation.
Dana Williams will serve as interim police chief following Kussow’s retirement until Orgon’s is sworn in.
