Panzer, Diana

Posted

Diana Panzer, 88 of Scandinavia, Wi went to her heavenly home with family at her side, on November 21, 2024.

She was born July 17, 1936 in Slinger, Wi to the late Eleanor (Nischke)and Rollin Zarske. Diana married the love of her life, Daniel Panzer on June 6, 1959. Diana had several jobs in her life but it was her and Dan’s six children, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren who brought her the most joy. She brought them up to know God and help others. She loved them all dearly and selflessly. Her sendoff was always a hug and a “Take Jesus with you!” when she parted ways with any of them.

Diana was also Dan’s “secretary” and kept him on time and on course during his routes as an animal health and feed salesman. She enjoyed visiting with the local farmers on his route. She was very involved in her church, singing in the choir and volunteering in the ladies’ groups. She was loving and giving and always saw the best in people. She had many “adopted” children (friends of her kids) who called her “Mom”. Her sister Nancy Lou was her “blue-eyed angel sister” and together they were known as the “Zarske girls” in their childhood sharing in mischief.

She is survived by her children: Deb Kutz, Duwane Panzer, Danny Panzer, Dean Panzer, Dawn (Kelly) Peterson, and Darrell Panzer; six grandchildren: Benjamin (Amanda), Kirk (Steph), Kaleb (Hayley), Kleighton (Clara), James (Courtney) and Jazmine (Kegan); 9 great grandchildren: Caeden, Delilah, Adelaide, Noah, Kira, Julian, Zadie, Vera, and James Jr; sister Nancy Lou Sponholz and sister-in-law Nancy Panzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dan, grandson David, brother David (Butch), sisters-in-law, Judy, Janet, Sally, and Ann, brothers-in-law, Alvin, Ronald, Eugene, Herman Jr, and Gordon, nephews Richard and Timothy, and her parents.

Services will be held at Scandinavia Lutheran Church on November 30, 2024 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be 11:00-12:00pm prior to the service. Burial will be at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the ThedaCare hospice team, Krissy, Lori, Briann, and Chaplain Ben for their wonderful care of Diana which allowed her to remain home with family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ThedaCare Hospice or Scandinavia Lutheran Church.
