Waupaca 9

APPLETON-The Waupaca Comets dropped to 0-4 on the season as they fell to the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes on the road in a Bay conference game.

Westen Lauritzen scored the lone touchdown for the Comets on a 16-yard touchdown reception, and Jacob Durrant knocked through a field goal.

The Foxes accumulated 394 total yards of offense as they won with a final score of 45-9.

Coleman 70,
Clintonville 0

The Truckers could not hold up on defense and did not generate any offense as they were blown out by a visiting Coleman.

Coleman accumulated 340 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, and their lone pass of the game was a seven-yard touchdown pass.

Manawa 14,

Shiocton 8

The Manawa Wolves got their first victory of the season over the Shiocton Chiefs at home.

The Chiefs took an early 8-0 lead into halftime, but the Manawa offense put enough points on the board in the second half to overcome the deficit for a 14-8 victory to put their record to 14-8.

Appleton East 15,
Hortonville 12

HORTONVILLE- The Polar Bears went to 0-4 on the season as they hosted the Appleton East Patriots in a Fox Valley Association game.

Appleton East took an early 7-0 lead on a four-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Hortonville answered in the closing seconds of the second quarter as a quarterback keeper, AJ Pheipher, made the deficit 7-6.

In the fourth quarter, the Polar Bears took a 12-7 lead and tried to hold on to the five-point margin.

The Patriots got into scoring position before getting a touchdown on a quarterback keeper to make the score 15-12, and the Polar Bears were not able to answer.

Shawano 15,
New London 12

The New London Bulldogs struck first, but could not get their first win of the season against the visiting Shawano Hawks.

The Bulldogs took a 6-0 lead as Brett Marquardt hauled in a 53-yard touchdown catch to give New London an early 6-0 lead, but Shawano responded as they defeated New London 15-12 to get their first win.
