This week is Holy Week. For some, this is an opportunity for rebirth or purification—recognition of past ill-deeds with the resolution to try harder in the times to come.
It’s probably coincidental with the advent of spring which features physical similarities in that we shed the cold, snowy burdens of winter for sunshine and warmth.
This week before Easter is iconic in a way because we do an informal inventory of our character and spend more time than usual in church. Even the agnostic can benefit from putting life on hold for an hour this week to think about things, if only to ponder.
Whatever your faith, religion or creed, I wish you a Happy Easter and a happy thereafter.
