Home ice has not been an advantage to the Waupaca boys’ hockey team in its first two games.

One day after opening the season with a 5-0 loss to the Fox Valley Stars, the Comets dropped a 5-1 decision to Marquette on Nov. 23 at the Waupaca Ice & Expo Center.

Chris Wilkensen and Joseph Schultz scored for Marquette later in the opening period.

Neither team scored in the second period, but the Hilltoppers added to their lead in the final period with goals from Mick Kaminsky, Schultz and Keegan Kowalke.
