Marilyn “Mitzie” L. Radtke, age 84 of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah.
She was born on May 9, 1940 in New London, daughter of the late Walter and Ardis (Wall) Radtke. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1958.
Mitzie worked in Appleton for several years before moving to California. After being in California for some time, she moved back to Wisconsin and worked for American Can in the Fox Valley until she retired. She enjoyed volunteering with her friend Mary Kay Jackson at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton where she helped with activities and was their photographer.
She is survived by her siblings: Patricia Leupold, Ozzie (Carol) Radtke, Gloria (Joe) Swedesky, Walter Radtke, Natalie Lubinski; sister-in-law, Betty Radtke; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, special friend of the family Mona Radtke, other relatives, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Russell (Maxine) Radtke, Richard Radtke; and brothers-in-law: Dave Lubinski, LaVern Leupold.
The Funeral Service for Mitzie will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation for Mitzie will be held on Tuesday prior to the service from 12:00pm – 1:45pm.
