Jean A. Roehl, age 87 of Embarrass passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Care Partners in Clintonville.

Jean Alice Reinke was born on March 29, 1933 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” and Elsie (Schulz) Reinke. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1951 and was united in marriage to Eugene Roehl on May 16, 1953 at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she was a lifetime member. Jean was a talented seamstress and after graduation worked at the Midway Tea Room, the Hansen Glove Factory, Noritage Upholstering, Zwicker Knitting Mill, and the LaCrosse Shoe Factory. Jean enjoyed playing solitaire and doing word finds and circle word puzzles. She also enjoyed mowing the lawn and spending quality time with her family.

Survivors include: her husband of 67 years, Eugene Roehl; sons, Dennis (Elaine) Roehl and Brian (Diane) Roehl; daughters-in-law, Fay Roehl and Lisa (Richard) Stueck; grandchildren: Fawn (Wes Ketchum) Kratzke, Adam (Ashley) Roehl, Derek (Taylor) Roehl, Brittney Roehl, and Nikki (Nick Lampher) Roehl; step-granddaughters: Erin, Amber, and Kimber Shepard; great-grandchildren: Skylar, Kiana, Elsie Lu, Allie, Alex, and Zaden; a brother, Carlton (Betty) Reinke; sisters-in-law: Darlene Roehl, Wanda Roehl, and Esther Reinke. Also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Elsie Reinke; sons, Kevin and Randal “Rudy” Roehl; a daughter-in-law Marylu Roehl; a brother Kenneth Reinke, and brothers-in-law, John and Leroy Roehl.

Jean’s funeral service will be held privately at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville in the spring. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
