Scandy library events

Join the Scandinavia Book Group at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, as they discuss the book "the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by Mark Haddon.

Described as humorous and poignant, this novel is narrated by Christopher John Francis Boone, an autistic 15-year-old math whiz who interprets the world in painstakingly literal terms. When he discovers that his neighbor's poodle has been brutally killed, Christopher decides to solve the murder and write a book about his inquiry into the dog's death - a remarkable quest that reveals some disturbing facts about Christopher's parents and his own past.

Also, Crafting Bee will continue meeting at the Scandinavia Public Library. Bring your own portable project to show and work on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday. Crafters of all types and skill levels are invited, so whether you knit, crochet, bead, etc., come and enjoy the camaraderie and fun! You can see some projects our crafters have been working on by going to the Scandinavia Public Library Facebook page and clicking on the Crafting Bee photo album.
