Lindsey Weiler-SPASH

A third consecutive Wisconsin Valley girls’ conference championship is firmly in the sights of the Stevens Point Panthers.

A reason for this lofty goal is senior Lindsey Weiler, who has been a key piece of the 2022-2023 team that won the conference title, was named a 2023-2024 All-Conference Honorable Mention, and was the Panthers leading rebounder with 7.2 per game for the Wisconsin Valley Conference Champions a season ago.

A Bemidji State recruit who plans to major in Sports Management, Lindsey started her basketball career in the third grade. She credits her high energy and physicality, which she brings to each game, as her biggest asset.
Lindsey has been able to manage her time between the classroom and the basketball court, “I make sure to use all my class time wisely so that I can focus on basketball during school hours.”

Introduced to the sport by her dad, Lindsey appreciates everything the sport has to offer, “My favorite part of basketball is how competitive it is, how it involves a lot of teamwork, and how it also lets individual talent shine.”

Lindsey credits her coach for motivating her throughout her time at Stevens Point: “ Coach Janel McCarville, thank you for pushing me beyond my limits and showing me that I am capable of achieving more than I ever thought possible. Your belief in my potential, even when I doubted myself, has been a constant source of motivation. You have not only made me a better basketball player but a better person, and I am so grateful for you.”
