A bid for an undefeated season is still in the sights of the Stevens Point Panthers, as they currently are 18-0 and sit at the top of the Wisconsin Valley Conference standings. A key piece to the Panthers’ success this season is right-wing Carter Drexler, who has provided 15 goals and 15 assists to account for 30 points.
Carter began skating at four when his parents put him in Learn-to-Skate. He immediately took to skating and the sport of hockey.
Wanting to play the sport in the future has made Carter stick with hockey,” I like being around the people I play with, and I want to make a future out of hockey.”
The balance of being a student-athlete has been a learning experience for Carter, “It has gotten easier every year, but it is still challenging to keep up sometimes.”
Carter credits his speed as his biggest asset on the ice and the Panther’s win over Hudson in the playoffs last season as his most memorable experience with his team on the ice.
