Shawano softball beats Waupaca

Waupaca hosted Shawano in an interconference matchup on April 24 the Comets could not keep pace with Shawano as they were outscored 13-1.

Shawano went up 1-0 as Emalee Beyersdorf had a single to drive in two runs to score, 2-0.

Jaelyn Hietpas drove in the third run of the first inning on a line drive to center field.

Ayanna O’Kimosh was hit by a pitch with bases loaded to make the score 4-0 in the first inning.

Jacey Cowden drove in two runs with a single to give Shawano the 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Kadence Meyers hit a line drive into left field for a double that drove in the seventh run of the game for Shawano in the second inning. Gracee Johnson drives in a run on a double to bring the Shawano lead to eight. An error brought in the third run of the second inning to put the score at 9-0.

Caitlyn Ryan drove in the lone run for the Comets in the bottom of the fourth inning with a single.

A wild pitch brought in a runner for Shawano in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 10-1

Lily Bubolz hit a grounder to the pitcher and drove in a run as the throw was late to home plate, and it was an 11-1 game. Shawano scored two more runs in the top of the fifth to get the final score of 13-1.
