• March 6 – A camera lens and bag were reported stolen on Illinois Avenue. The owner did not wish to press charges.
• March 6 – A woman reported her missing debit or credit card had been used without her permission. The suspect was identified at the Dollar General on Church Street and arrested.
• March 6 – A driving complaint was reported at the Dunham’s Sports parking lot off Highway 10. The officer witnessed no irregular driving, but discovered 12-15 trucks gathered together. The officer informed them to leave if they were not customers.
• March 7 – An employee of Graffiti’s Bar and Grill flagged down an officer to inform them of a subject who would not leave the bar. The man left after officer contact, but then tried to re-enter after five minutes.
• March 7 – An officer witnessed a vehicle driving over the median on Water Street, and then drove through a turn light. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for OWI 1st Offense.
• March 7 – A group of males were yelling and grabbing each other downtown on Main Street. The 22-year-old male that was the aggressor was detained and talked to, then released back to his friends and advised to go home.
• March 7 – A man was reportedly banging on doors in the downtown area and asking for cops. The man was then identified and arrested for warrant charges.
• March 7 – Officers were dispatched to a local nursing home for a male who escaped and was being argumentative with staff.
• March 7 – A 44-year-old woman reported that a young female took photographs of her while she was using the restroom at Target. The suspect was located by Fleet Farm and identified. She denied taking photos and showed officers her phone’s camera roll.
• March 7 – Officers responded to a Washington Avenue address for a report of a house fire. The complainant would not let firefighters or officers in. The house did not appear on fire and nobody appeared injured.
• March 7 – 13 individuals were cited for underage drinking at The Outfit on Main Street.
• March 8 – A welfare check was requested for a man who was walking on ice by Mead Park. Ultimately, the man had warrants and was transported to Wood County.
• March 8 – A man was advised he cannot sleep on Stevens Point Library property.
• March 9 – A 60-year-old man was issued a warning for driving 40 mph in a 25 mph zone on Clark Street.
• March 9 – Kwik Trip on Maria Drive reported receiving a fraudulent $20 bill.
• March 9 – A caller reported that their vehicle was damaged at a John’s Drive address.
• March 10 – Officer located what they believed to be belongings of a man who is currently in custody at Waupaca County Jail. They discovered these belongings at Sentry Insurance on Strongs Avenue.
• March 10 – Officers responded to the intersection of Maria Drive and Prentice Street for a report of an elderly female who had fallen out of her mobility scooter and needed assistance getting back to her residence. Upon arrival, officers discovered a good Samaritan had gotten the scooter back on its wheels. Officers assisted with fixing the scooters battery and followed the woman back to her residence until she was safely inside.
• March 11 – A male resident at a nursing home had been getting illegal THC cartridges brought in for him by family. The family and the resident were trying to hide the THC vape from the staff.
• March 11 – A Water Street garbage can was reported as stolen. It was later located and returned, but video evidence shows a male moving it across the street and going through it. Officers were unable to locate the male from the video.
• March 11 – A 26-year-old woman reported that her mother has been driving while smoking weed and drinking.
• March 12 – A YMCA employee reported seeing a man outside the childcare door potentially urinating. She stated she saw a man with his jacket unzipped and his pants dropped below the hip bone, who then adjusted himself to be out of sight once she saw him. She stated she did not see “his private parts” or see him urinating, but assumed that is what he was doing. In a separate call later the same day, the man was found sleeping on YMCA property and trespassed.
• March 12 – A woman reported a man was taking photos of her and possibly following her near Taco John’s on Academy Avenue. Upon officer arrival, the man was arrested on a warrant.
