June 26 – A homeless man was seen wearing a red bathrobe and pushing an office chair down West River Drive and West Cornell Avenue.
June 26 – A 25-year-old man in Wood County Jail, who was facing charges for domestic abuse, broke rules to not contact the victim in his case. Charges were sent to the Portage County District Attorney’s Office.
June 26 – A 49-year-old woman was trespassed by Metro Market for drinking alcohol and soliciting customers.
June 27 – A 23-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance on The Square.
June 27 – A welfare check on a man not regaining consciousness at a local restaurant led to the male refusing medical assistance and then being arrested on an out-of-state warrant.
June 27 – A 42-year-old man was reportedly cursing at and threatening protestors on Main Street.
June 28 – A man called to report his wife, who he is getting a divorce from, allegedly slapped him hours earlier. Officers observed no injuries to the man. The man stated he was concerned his wife was drinking with conditions not to drink, however, officers confirmed no such conditions existed. The man requested officers conduct a breathalyzer test on his wife, to which officers stated they would not do. Officers encouraged the man to stop letting his wife come over and to “actually get divorced.” Later, the wife reported the same incident to law enforcement. However, the wife claimed the man had been drinking, pushed her to the ground, and struck her. Officers noted various marks on her face that varied in age.
June 28 – A 26-year-old man was arrested outside of Icon on Main Street after getting into an altercation with bar security.
June 28 – A man allegedly spent $2,000 on gift cards which were then given to individuals over the phone over the false pretense that the gift cards would cover his phone bill.
June 28 – A 28-year-old woman stated a 50-year-old man was staring at her and then took a photo of her children before speeding off in his vehicle.
June 29 – A man reported his bike was stolen from a Monroe Street address.
June 29 – A caller stated she received threats from her brother-in-law that stemmed from an altercation that occurred at a family function.
June 29 – A woman stated her uncle had started a WE Energies account in her name without her consent. The account was $400 past due.
June 29 – A woman reported seeing a child inside a vehicle, that was turned off and windows rolled up, in the Target parking lot.
June 30 – A 33-year-old man violated his bond conditions not to have contact with his ex-wife. He began sending his ex-wife nude photographs and threats through text messages.
June 30 – A 35-year-old woman received a citation for prohibited use of 911 after her child continued to call 911 repeatedly over the past four months.
June 30 – A man reported that an unknown suspect drilled holes into his exhaust system.
June 30 – Officers conducted a welfare check at Days Inn and Suites on Division Street on a man who stated he was “taking Benadryl to see things.” Officers then learned of the man’s warrant and arrested him. He also confessed to stealing a bottle of alcohol.
June 30 – A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the Rocky Rococo parking lot.
June 30 – Officers were dispatched to Arby’s on Church Street for a man who was causing a disturbance after being given the wrong food.
June 30 – A welfare check was conducted after a female could be heard yelling and items could be heard breaking. Upon arrival, officers noticed the Fifth Avenue apartment was dark and quiet. No one came to the door. Contact was made with the neighbor who stated there was yelling between a man and a woman, in addition to someone yelling about killing someone else. The neighbor stated the woman in the residence left on a bike while the children were picked up by grandparents prior to law enforcement arrival.
July 1 – Kids were reported to have smashed bricks in a parking lot overnight.
July 1 – A suspect was reported to have stolen from Festival Foods on five separate occasions.
July 1 – A man was trespassed after allegedly urinating in the bathroom at Five Below on Highway 10. The man stated Five Below staff would not let him use the restroom. However, staff stated he had urinated on the bathroom floor and was yelling inside the store. The man stated the person before him was responsible for the urine on the floor, which the man claimed caused him to slip in urine and fall.
July 1 – A married couple was scammed out of $3,000 in gift cards.
July 1 – Two women were arrested after they were spotted in a vehicle smoking or snorting a substance through a straw off of aluminum foil while parked in a hotel parking lot. The women were arrested on multiple charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, probation violation, and felony bail jumping.
July 1 – A 65-year-old man was observed removing dirt from a construction zone. He stated the dirt was going to be used for his garden.
