Stevens Point Police Report: April 4

• March 28 – Two juveniles at Ben Franklin Junior High School used profanity directed towards staff members when asked to return to class. Both juveniles were cited for disorderly conduct due to similar past behavior and disrupting multiple classrooms.
• March 28 – A student at Ben Franklin Junior High School punched another student in the eye while on the school bus because the student had reportedly told on him for throwing a snowball on the bus. The student received a black eye as a result of the altercation.
• March 31 – A teacher helping a school club with a fundraiser turned in a counterfeit $20 bill that was paid during a bake sale.
• March 31 – An individual was upset that her siblings were confronting her regarding purchases she was making on their mother’s credit card, the family later agreed to talk it out.
• April 1 – A student at Ben Franklin Junior High School turned a vape over to staff members, which was then disposed of.
• April 1 – Kwik Trip staff members requested officers to check on a man sleeping in the parking lot, the officers noted that the man was not friendly. The man was told he could no longer stay in the parking lot but was also not allowed to drive. The man said he would get a ride.
• April 1 – A complaint was made that an unidentified suspect discarded 81 tires on Van Horn Nissan property without permission.
• April 1 – A caller was concerned when witnessing a child swinging on a swing set for a long period of time, the child would then leave as soon as other vehicles arrived at the park.
• April 1 – Drug paraphernalia was located in a vehicle at Sentry Insurance Headquarters.
• April 1 – A male reported that he received a text from his ex that stated people were talking about beating him up. The male responded to his ex, but received no further answers or explanations.
• April 2 – A female spent the night inside of Kwik Trip and had been previously trespassed from the location. Staff members at Kwik Trip did not want her cited and only asked that the female leave.
• April 2 – An officer noted that a vehicle with no plates was causing daily problems by loitering in a Division Street parking lot, but the suspects are also dumping trash in the parking lot.
• April 2 – An individual from the SPASH parking lot reported that they believed their vehicle was intentionally damaged. The rear passenger door was scratched. The individual who reported this incident claims they believe they know who damaged their vehicle.
• April 2 – A woman was arrested at Walgreens on Church Street for OWI 1st offense. The woman was transported to the Portage County Jail for a 12-hour hold.
• April 2 – Officers responded to Jefferson Street for reports of a disturbance between a stepdad and son. The stepdad was arrested and taken to the Portage County Jail for disorderly conduct and domestic and false imprisonment.
• April 3 – A vehicle was parked at Rocky Rococo’s on Division Street with covered windows. An officer could see items being moved inside the vehicle and made contact with an individual who said she was sleeping in the parking lot.
• April 3 – An officer was dispatched to Point of Discovery School on West Zinda Drive. The principal of Point of Discovery School reported that a student had thrown an unknown liquid on another student.
• April 3 – A caller reported that his wife had locked him out of their vehicle in the Five Below parking lot. The caller stated they both had been drinking.
• April 3 – A female walking on West River Drive reported a vehicle that had been driving circles around her. The driver did not say anything to the female, but drove around her before heading towards the direction of downtown.
• April 3 – A male was sitting on a swing set at Emerson Park drinking beer. The male was cooperative when asked to dump the rest of the beer and head home.
• April 4 – After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 1700 block of Briggs Street, the driver was arrested for an active warrant. The traffic stop was originally for the rear lights not being turned on.
