Stevens Point to rewrite zoning code

STEVENS POINT—On Feb. 17 the Stevens Point Common Council authorized city staff to rewrite the zoning code. Stevens Point has had a zoning code since 1936, with the last rewrite taking place in 1979.
Rewriting the zoning code is anticipated to occur through mid-year 2027. Public engagements will begin this spring that include public surveys, focus groups, and thirteen neighborhood public informational meetings from May-Oct. 2025.
