A Waupaca man who has been in and out of prison since 2016, currently faces three open felony cases in Waupaca County.
Dylan S. Nyman, 33, is most recently charged with two felony counts of identity theft, four counts of misdemeanor theft and eight counts of felony bail jumping.
He is currently in custody on a $1,500 cash bond.
On Oct. 11, Waupaca Police Officer Jarred Studinski was dispatched to the 1200 block of Crystal Court where he met with a man who reported that $300 in cash had been stolen from his truck.
The man told Studinski that he had been helping his mother with some things around her apartment. He went to his truck and noticed the odor of cigarette smoke even though he does not smoke.
He then discovered that $300 was missing from his truck, as well as some credit cards and his driver’s license.
On Oct. 27, Stevens Point police informed Waupaca police that a victim who was moving from Waupaca to Stevens Point had reported the theft of a Venmo card, a white iPad Pro valued at $1,500. a Social Security card, $30 in cash and some lottery tickets from her vehicle.
The Stevens Point victim told Waupaca Police Officer Kyle Holden that someone named Dylan Nyman had attempted unsuccessfully to make transactions using her Venmo card. She did not know anyone by that name.
In two other criminal cases, Nyman is facing charges of six counts of identity theft, three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of obstructing an officer, as well as felony bail jumping and retail theft.
Nyman’s prior convictions include three count of misdemeanor theft on March 4, 2023; one felony count of possession of narcotics on Sept. 7, 2021; one felony count of possession of narcotics, and one felony count of burglary on April 7, 2016.
