Kody S. Kleckner, 28, Clintonville, is in custody on a $2,000 cash bond on a felony charge of threatening an officer.
On Saturday, Feb. 23, Clintonville Police Officer Craig Kamke was dispatched to a domestic complaint.
According to the criminal complaint, a 911 call reported that Kleckner’s wife was barricaded in the bathroom. There was also a warrant for Kleckner’s arrest related to November 2018 charges involving domestic violence.
As Kamke was transporting Kleckner to jail, Kleckner allegedly began talking about what would happen if he grabbed the officer’s pistol, how he had a large number of guns and that he could have shot the officers when they entered his home.
Kleckner then tried to persuade the officer to pull over and allow him to escape, the complaint says.
Kleckner reportedly said he would get out of jail in 10 days and he would find the officer and shoot him.
When he learned everything he said had been recorded, Kleckner began swearing, the complaint says.
