T-Birds get two wins at quad

I-S volleyball team hosts meet

After dropping a pair of games to Assumption, the Iola-Scandinavia volleyball team rebounded with wins over Almond-Bancroft and Port Edwards Aug. 24 at a four-team meet in Iola.
The Thunderbirds opened the quadrangular with 25-13 and 25-16 losses to the Royals.

Iola-Scandinavia then won two of three sets over Almond-Bancroft. The T-Birds won the first game 25-22, lost the second 25-18 and handed the Eagles a 15-11 loss in the third game.
The T-Birds wrapped up the meet with 25-20 and 25-19 wins over Port Edwards.

Iola-Scandinavia competed at an invitational at Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh Aug. 26 and will face Almond-Bancroft, Manawa and Marion Thursday, Aug. 31, at a quadrangular in Almond. Matches will get underway at 5 p.m.
