WAUPACA – “It’s a ray of sunshine during our winter months. We are honored to display these beautiful, fun, creative pieces at the library,” said exhibit room coordinator Liz Kneer.
The best artwork of the year is now on display at the Waupaca Area Public Library. The lower-level exhibition room is hosting the annual Youth Art Month exhibit that showcases art from kindergarteners to high school seniors.
It’s a partnership between the Waupaca Area Public Library, the Waupaca Library Foundation, and the School District of Waupaca. The exhibit will be on display from February 8-March 29, 2025.
Waupaca art teachers Mackenzie Burns, Art Schulz, Mathew Lawniczak and Tricia Price made the selections for the exhibit. A reception was held on February 10 to announce award winners that were selected by a local artist.
Cevannah Bemowski was awarded Best in Show. The prize goes to a high school student with an outstanding portfolio of work.
