Truckers come back falls short against Chiefs

Posted

Truckers girls basketball dug themselves out of an early hole to bring the game within single digits before falling 52-40 at home against the Shiocton Chiefs on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The Chiefs went up 24-4 in the opening nine minutes of the game as they forced turnovers at will and turned them into easy transition layups.

Clintonville began to show signs of life at the end of the second half as their transition defense started to get stops as they went on an 11-7 run as they went into the locker room at halftime.

In the second half, the Truckers cut the deficit to 48-39 as Zoey Ferg scored in the paint. Ferg led all scorers with 17 points and contributed eight rebounds.
The Truckers outscored the Chiefs 25-19 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the first-half deficit.
