The Milwaukee Marshall Eagles soared to a 30-6 victory over the Truckers in nonconference football action on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Neither team scored in the first quarter, and the Eagles held a slim 8-6 advantage at halftime.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, but the Eagles blew the game open by scoring 22 points in the fourth quarter, while holding Clintonville scoreless in the frame.
Tyler Petermann completed three of 11 passes for 25 yards and one interception. Jaden Doornink completed six of 11 attempts for 32 yards and one interception. Kaleb Tessmer had one reception for seven yards, while Joe Pockat had two catches for 18 yards.
Petermann rushed 10 times for 32 yards with one touchdown, and Shane Collar gained 100 yards on 21 carries.
The Trucker defense allowed 434 total yards, with 368 coming on the ground and 62 gained through the air. The defense came up with one interception and two fumble recoveries.
Travis Whisman had four unassisted tackles and seven assisted tackles, while Coy Hansen tallied four unassisted tackles and eight assisted tackles. Ross Westphal also contributed eight assisted tackles and one unassisted tackle, while Zach Engel added three solo tackles and eight assisted tackles.
