Five errors and 13 walks led to a season-opening loss for the Weyauwega-Fremont baseball team.
The Indians outhit the Bulldogs 6-3, but still came up on the short end of an 8-1 decision to New London March 27 in Weyauwega.
New London came up with single runs in the first and fourth innings before adding five more in the fifth on one hit. Both teams added a run in the seventh.
Cole Hudziak and Brandon Scheer had two hits for Weyauwega-Fremont, while Logan Locy and Blake Dey drove in two runs each for the Bulldogs. Jake Hoier picked up the win on the mound and Kolden Baehman took the loss.
