The Weyauwega-Fremont baseball team's season ended May 31 with a 3-2 nine-inning loss to Amherst in a Division 3 regional final.
W-F advanced to the final with a 12-2 win May 28 over Plainfield Tri-County.
Zach Costello and Tyler Hart drove in eight runs for the Indians, while Hart picked up the win on the mound.
The Indians built a 9-0 lead with two runs in the first, three in the second and four in the third. Costello and Hart each had two-run singles in the third.
Tri-County put two runs on the board in the top of the fourth, but the Indians tacked on three more in the sixth to end the game.
Hart scattered three hits and struck out 11 batters.
Hart and Hunter Billington had three hits for the Indians, while Chase Knutson, Costello and Trevor Potratz added two each.
