W-F track teams take first in Keshena

Weyauwega-Fremont's boys' and girls' track team won championships Thursday, April 21, at the Menominee Indian Eagle Invitational in Keshena.



Team scores for the girls were Weyauwega-Fremont, 226; Manawa, 89; Gresham/Bowler, 80; Marion, 77; Menominee Indian, 37; and Wolf River Lutheran, 10.



Team scores for the boys were W-F, 200; Gresham/Bowler, 156; Marion, 55; Menominee Indian, 54; Manawa, 36; and Starr Academy, 30.



Firsts for the boys went to Luke Rohloff in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles (17.6 and 46.4); the 400-meter relay team (47.5); the 800 relay team (1:45.4); the 1,600 relay team (3:52.6); Nick Thomas in the 3,200-meter run (11:48); and Tanner Ross in the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches).



Firsts for the girls went to Amanda Miller in the 100-meter dash (14.1) and long jump (15 feet, 4 inches); Ellen Schroeder in the 1,600- and 3,200 runs (5:44.8 and 12:42); the 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams (4:44.8 and 11:12); Kaitie Gilbert in the 100-meter hurdles (19.1); Aysia Schroeder in the 300 hurdles (54.4); Alyse Peters in the 800-meter run (2:39.4); and Danielle Austreng in the high jump (4 feet, 6 inches).



Also placing for the W-F boys were the 3,200 relay team, second; Raul Levya, second in the 100 and third in the 200-meter dash and long jump; Austin Ristau, second in the 200; Aaron Schroeder, second in the 300 hurdles and sixth in the 110 hurdles; Trevor Fitzpatrick, second in the long jump; Jacob Radtke, second in the shot put; Chris Killeen, third in the 300 hurdles; Kyle Utecht, second in the 400-meter dash; Dan Crist, third in the 3,200 and seventh in the 1,600; Josh St. Louis, fourth in the 3,200; Kyle Loughrin, third in the high jump; Jake Kuenzi, fourth in the triple jump; Mike Howe, fourth in the discus and fifth in the shot put; Shi Rohm, fifth in the discus; Jonas Kobiske, fifth in the 110 hurdles and seventh in the triple jump; Eric Jorgenson, fifth in the 100; Logan Kobiske, fifth in the 800 and 1,600; Tre Blohm, fifth in the 400; Thomas Long, sixth in the 1,600; Dan Prillwitz, sixth in the 800; Rohloff, sixth in the high jump; and Mark Bucholtz, seventh in the 800.



Also placing for the girls were Elizabeth Abhold, second in the shot put and discus; the 400 and 3,200 relay team, second; Jane Beyer, second in the 400 and 3,200; Ellen Schroeder, second in the high jump; Arianna Schmitz, third in the 3,200 and fourth in the 1,600; Lauren Akey, third in the triple jump and fourth in the 200; Dacia Goetsch, third in the 100 hurdles and fourth in the 300 hurdles; Morgan Wilson, tied for third in the high jump and fourth in the 400; Jenni Hellweg, third in the 800 and fifth in the triple jump; Austreng, third in the 400; Jackie Beyer, fourth in the shot put and sixth in the discus; Joanna Schroeder, sixth in the long jump and seventh in the 200; Brittany Durrant, sixth in the 800; Alyssa Wild, sixth in the 100; Aysia Schroeder, sixth in the 100 hurdles; and Megan Kaluzny, seventh in the long jump.



The Indians will compete with New London, Waupaca, Iola-Scandinavia, Clintonville, Marion and Manawa in the Waupaca County Meet, set for Saturday, April 30. Events are scheduled to get under way at 9:30 a.m. at New London High School.
