Shirley J. Waldhart, of Appleton, age 92, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 with her family by her side.
She was born in Marshfield, WI on August 13, 1931 to the late Glenn and Margaret (Niman) Shupe. On January 7, 1956 she married Gilbert Waldart, he preceded her in death on May 14, 2020. Shirley was a pediatric nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was an active member of United Methodist Church in Wild Rose. After retirement she was a member of Riverside Auxiliary. Shirley was the best ever cook and baker. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, feeding the birds and working on crossword puzzles.
She will be missed by her daughters: Debra (Dan) Pire; Laurie Jensen; grandchildren: Travis (Stacy) Pire, Danielle (Kurt) Edinger, Benjamin Pire, Brianna (Ted) Jensen Hagen, Brock (Kahla) Jensen; great grandchildren: Owen, Jack, Eli, Elsie, Jace, Rex, Kalyx and Kashton; brother: Bruce (Wanda) Shupe, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill (Elizabeth) Shupe.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 225 Summit St., Wild Rose. The visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
