Warhawks wrestling ranked number one

The Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks are flexing their muscle in the early portion of the wrestling season, ranking number one in Division 3 after an appearance in the 2024 WIAA state semifinals.  

The opening rankings for this season have Weyauwega-Fremont at the top of the team polls and have placed several individuals near the top of their weight classes, according to wisconsingrappler.com.

Zander Baehnman is ranked fourth in the 106-pound division, Jayden LeNoble is ranked fourth in the 113-pound division, Carter Birdyshaw is ranked fifth in the 144-pound division, Connor Johnson is ranked fifth in the 157-pound division and

Carter McDaniel is ranked fifth in the 175- pound division, respectively.
The Warhawks will host Rosholt, Little Chute and Bonduel in a quad meet at home on Thursday, Dec.19.
