Waupaca softball loses in shutout to Denmark

Denmark softball came to Waupaca ready to play, and they thumped the Comets 15-0 on May 13.

In the first inning, Denmark Macey Mleziva drove in a runner on a sacrifice fly.
Abigail Johnson scored to make it a 2-0 ball game, as she drove in a run on a single.

Emma Olson added two more runs to put Denmark up 4-0, as she hit a triple to bring in runners.

The score went to 5-0 after a wild pitch by the Comets brought a Denmark runner across the plate for a score to finish off the scoring in the first inning.

In the second inning, Denmark continued to feast at the plate as Johnson scored another run on an RBI single.

A wild pitch sent another runner home to make the score 7-0, and a walk with bases loaded made the score 8-0.

A two-RBI single by Addison Finchart made the score 10-0, and another bases-loaded walk to score as the lead was extended to 11-0.

Denmark put four more runs on the board to end the game in the third inning.
