Sara “Sally” J. (Roloff) Williams, Independence, IA (formerly of Waupaca & Two Rivers, WI), passed away on July 10, 2023, at home, with her husband and dog at her side.
Sally battled Multiple Sclerosis for 25+ years.
Sally was born May 21, 1947, to Leland & Florence (Keyes) Roloff in Cuba City, WI. On March 8, 1969, Sally married her longtime sweetheart, Jerry Williams, in Independence, IA. Sally graduated from St John’s Catholic High School in 1965 & Northwest Institute of Medical Laboratory Technique in 1966. Sally was a medical technologist for more than 30 years & retired from Aurora Medical Care – Two Rivers Clinic, WI in 2003. After living in Wisconsin (Waupaca & Two Rivers) for nearly 45 years, Jerry & Sally moved back to Independence, IA in the fall of 2018.
Sally is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry; 1 daughter, Betsy (Jason) McCollister; special friend Kylee Seehase; Wilbur, her service dog; siblings: Bob (Mary Kay) Roloff; John (Paula) Roloff; Paul (Julie) Roloff; Mary (Joel) Grover; in-laws: John (Deb) Williams; Joseph B (Connie) Williams; David (Lori) Williams; Suzanne Frasher; many nieces and nephews.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Florence Roloff, Bernard & Georgia Williams, son Matthew, sister Susan Curtiss, brothers-in-law Jim Curtiss & Mark Frasher, and two nephews, Davy Mclane, and Scott Madison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence, IA, with Rev. David Beckman presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Reiff Family Center – Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA. A Parish Vigil Service will be held at 7 PM on Friday.
