CLINTONVILLE – Work as started on the all-inclusive park at W.A. Olen Park in Clintonville, in which the funds were raised by the non-profit Down With Mylestones.
At the May 13 Clintonville Common Council meeting, Lisa Hill, who formed Down With Mylestones, informed the council that ground has been broken for the all-inclusive park project at W.A. Olen Park. The area was being prepped and construction was to begin Monday, May 19.
Hill said the all-inclusive park will be accessible for those in wheelchairs. Music notes will be located all around the park. There will be swings available for children with disabilities. Swings with a five-point harness and higher back will also be available for children who do not have the muscle tone or strength to support their heads.
There will also be a climbing apparatus at the park, which will be located next to the equipment that is already at the park, Hill said.
She added that all-inclusive items will be located around the side of the park that is already there.
