Celebrating Independence Day

Parades, picnics and fireworks will be featured during Fourth of July festivities throughout Waupaca County.

Waupaca

Fourth of July festivities begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Waupaca with a parade on Main Street

Trinity Lutheran Church will collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the Food Pantry during the parade.

Knights of Columbus will host their chicken barbecue and hamburger lunch at South Park beginning at 11 a.m.

Fireworks will be launched at 9:30 p.m. over Shadow Lake at South Park. Tune to Lakes 92.7 at 9:30 p.m. for patriotic music.

New London

The highlight of Fourth of July in New London is the annual Festival Foods Fireworks show at at Cottrill Field inside Hatten Stadium, 801 Werner-Allen Road.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Men’s Methodist club will be selling concessions, There will also be old-fashioned children’s games.

Fireworks start at dusk, around 9:45 p.m.

City ordinance does not allow animals in Hatten Stadium.

Clintonville

Clintonville A’s Fireworks, Wednesday, July 3, at W.A. Olen Park-Don Jirschele Stadium. Food, music and activities. Fireworks at dusk.

At 5 p.m. on July 3, St. Rose Catholic parish will host a fireworks food stand on the parish lawn. Serving burgers, hot dogs, nachos, chips, beverages and more. Proceeds benefit SSRM Youth and Family Events and the Clintonville A’s.

Weyauwega

Weyauwega’s fireworks display will be held at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 3.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with soda, water, popcorn and other refreshments.

DJ Reggie will provide a night of music. Fireworks start at dusk.

Fremont

Fremont River Days offers live music, food trucks, kid games, a water ski show and fireworks.

On Friday, June 28, in downtown Fremont, the food trucks are open from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Spicy Tie takes the stage at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, June 29, food trucks return to downtown WeyaFremont at 5:30 p.m. the Glam Band performs.

On Sunday, June 30, the Webfooters Water Ski Show on the Wolf River will start at 6 p.m. The fireworks show will launch at dusk.

On Thursday, July 4, the Fremont Kiddie Parade will be held in downtown at 10 a.m.

Iola-Scandinavia

Iola’s Independence Day celebration will be held from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Taylor Field/Lake Iola. In addition to fireworks, the event will feature raffles, food, softball games and drinks. The is held by the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce. 6-10:30pm.

Manawa

Fireworks are planned at 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at the Mid-Western Rodeo grounds at E5888 County Trunk B, in Manawa, The fireworks will be held immediately after the rodeo performance. They are sponsored by the Manawa Lions Club
