Platte, Clinton

Clinton Platte, age 92, New London, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Clinton was born in New London, on July 24, 1918, son of the late Albert and Pearl (Cas) Platte. He formerly worked at the Plywood in New London and Fox Tractor in Appleton. Clinton is a WWII veteran serving his country in the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Daila; three sons, Dan Platte, New London; Randal Platte, and Kevin Platte both of Jamul, California. Seven grandchildren, other relatives and friends also survive Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeff, a daughter, Cheryl and a sister, Bessie Pleier. Funeral Mass for Clinton was held on Monday, August 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Family and friends called at the church Monday after 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
