Peterson, Edward J.

Edward J. Peterson, King, WI (formerly of Waupaca), age 89, died on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. He was born on April 24, 1921 in the Township of Lind, Waupaca County, WI, the son of John and Iona (Gloede) Peterson. He married Doris Nelson on February 7, 1943 in Kaukauna, WI. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2006. Eddie is survived by his son; Gary Peterson of Fort Myers, FL, daughter; Carol (Joe) Wutkevicz of Appleton, four granddaughters, four great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, a sister; Lois Button of Waupaca, and a brother; Russell (Ilene) of Menasha. Ed was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Waupaca. He had been employed at Filter Materials in Waupaca for many years, retiring as a maintenance foreman. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Andy Behrendt, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
