The Valley Figure Skating Club (VFSC) is urgently seeking your support. We have been in existence for over 30 years and we provide area figure skaters the opportunity to practice their sport and build camaraderie. Unfortunately, the future of the club was put in serious jeopardy when our former treasurer embezzled funds from our accounts leaving us with a negative balance. That individual has been charged with felony theft by fraud and we do hope to receive restitution at some point. However, that could take years and without your help we might not be able to pay for ice time within the next few months. If VFSC were to cease to exist it would affect the community beyond just the skaters, coaches and families. That is because we are the second largest user of ice time at both the Appleton Family Ice Center and Tri-County Arena, so their viability could also be negatively impacted. VFSC is a non-profit volunteer organization and any contributions you could make would help us to continue operating until we get through this critical time.
