Radtke, Ardis R.

Ardis R. Radtke, age 98, of Weyauwega, died peacefully at her residence on Monday, March 14, 2011. Ardis was born on July 4, 1912, in Weyauwega, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late William and Addie (Mykel) Wall. She was married to Walter Radtke. Ardis was a wonderful mother and teacher who practiced and passed along the great Christian example. She was a life-long member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She enjoyed cooking, sewing quilts, listening to music, reading books, traveling, gardening, watching sports, and talking about politics. Ardis is survived by her children, Richard (Bette) Radtke, Shelton, WA; Russell (Lynn) Radtke, New London; Patricia (LaVern) Leupold, Weyauwega; Kay Jackson, Appleton; Mitzie Radtke, Appleton; Ozzie (Carol) Radtke, New London; Gloria (Joe) Swedesky, New London; Walter Radtke, Weyauwega; and Natalie (Dave) Lubinski, Weyauwega. She is further survived by special friend and caretaker, Mona Radtke, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harland Wall; sister, Iva Tedesko; and daughter-in-law, Maxine Radtke. A funeral service for Ardis was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 312 W. Main Street, Weyauwega, with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Robbin Robbert officiating. Family and friends gathered directly at the church Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church and School.
