Fuller named president of education organization

Sandra Fuller, New London, recently was named president of the Wisconsin organization of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an organization of key women educators and promotes the personal and professional development of teachers. The organization has more than 900 members and 30 chapters throughout the state. Fuller is a member of Nu chapter, which includes Waupaca and Shawano counties.

Fuller is a retired teacher and librarian. She began her career as an English and journalism teacher at Winneconne schools. She taught in the library science department at UW-Oshkosh, and was a public services (reference) librarian at the same university.

From 1985-1987 she directed the St. Croix County library service. In 1989 she developed the opening day library collection for a new elementary school for 1200 students in Kingsford, Michigan.

Fuller has been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma since 1982. She has served three terms as state editor of the organization’s newsletter.

She will attend the organization’s regional conference in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in July.
