LaHaie, Paul Daniel

Paul Daniel LaHaie, 92 passed away June 26, 2011 at OSF St. Clare Nursing Home in Peoria Heights, IL. He was born February 3, 1919 in Waupaca, Wisconsin to Emmitt and Mary LaHaie. He married Trevelyn Tarr in Indiana on September 1, 1950. She survives along with their children. Jeffrey (Mary) of West Lafayette, IN , Steven (Carolyn) of Cypress, TX, Brian (Jerri) of Athens, GA, Susan LaHaie of Peoria, and Daniel (Karrie) of East Peoria. Also surviving are 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Paul served in World War II, Merrill’s Marauders Association, and Korean War. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service. Later he was employed by the Federal Civil Service for 17 years. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Wisconsin with the family. Donations can be made to Peoria Area Blind People’s Center, Inc. or OSF Saint Clare Activity Fund. The Cremation Society of Mid Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
