Douglas J. Wied, died peacefully at home Saturday, July 30, 2011. Age 79. Beloved husband of Shirley for 58 years. Cherished father of Dennis (Laureen), Debra (Larry Desotell) Wied and Michael (Heather). Proud grandfather of Rachel (fiance Erik Wiedeman) Wied; Michael Wied. Brother of John Wied. Also loved by other relatives and friends. Doug proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was owner and operator of A. Werner Silversmith Inc. for over 50 years. Visitation was at the Krause Funeral Home, 9000 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee on Wednesday, August 3 from 10 AM – 12:45 PM. Funeral Service at 1 PM. Committal service followed at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to St. Ben’s Meal Program.
