David L. Paulsen, Waupaca, WI, age 79 – died on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI. He was born on November 29, 1932 in New London, WI, the son of Lester and Ethel (Safford) Paulsen. David is survived by two nieces, Cynthia (Glenn) Dalton of Waupaca, and Tamra Paulsen of Milwaukee, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Vincent and Gerald Paulsen, and two sisters, Ellen Mary Nicolaisen and Catherine Paulsen. David was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church of Waupaca. He had worked at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for over 30 years. A service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
