Valdez, Antonio (Tony)

Antonio (Tony) Valdez, 57, of New London passed away on April 6, 2012. Tony was surrounded by his loving family as he passed away peacefully. Tony was born in Austin, TX, grew up in Homestead, FL and had been residing in Wisconsin for 26 years. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Norma, and his children: Rosa, Blanca, Juan, Jose, Tanja, Jonathan, Augustine, Arlene, Antonio, Amy, Aften; 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Tony will also be forever remembered by his sisters: Guadalupe, Anita, Mary, Eulalia, Endinia, Rosa, Josefina, Isabel, Oralia, Gloria and Cicilia, and also 57 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Casimiro and Eulalia Valdez, two brothers, Juan Valdez and Casimiro Valdez Jr, and his son Antonio V. Roberts. Tony enjoyed dancing, western movies, antique cars, motorcycles, and most of all spending time with his family including his grandchildren Yazmine, Isaac, Micaela and Reese. A funeral service for Tony was held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London, with Rev. Sylvester J. Narlock officiating. Tony’s family received family and friends at the funeral home from the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tony’s wish was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Tony’s name for the spreading of his ashes in Florida.
