Legion regionals under way this week

Three area Legion baseball teams are hosting regional tournaments this week.

New London will host a four-team Class AA regional tThursday, July 26, to Monday, July 29, while teams from Clintonville and Marion/Tigerton are teaming up to host an eight-team Class A regional that began Wednesday, July 25.

Both tournaments are double elimination and regional champions will advance to their respective state tournament. The Class AA tournament is set for Aug. 3-7 in Onalaska, while the Class A tournament will be held Aug. 1-5 in Bruce.

The New London tournament will be held at Hatten Park.

The schedule for today is Waupaca vs. Shawano, 5:30 p.m.; and New London vs. Shiocton, 8 p.m.

The schedule for Friday, July 27, is game 1 loser vs. game 2 loser, 5:30 p.m.; and game 1 winner vs. game 2 winner, 8 p.m.

The schedule for Saturday, July 28, is game 3 winner vs. game 4 loser, noon; and game 4 winner vs. game 5 winner, 2:30 p.m. If necessary, a second championship game between the game 4 and game 5 winners will be played at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 29.

Games for the Clintonville and Marion/Tigerton regional are being played in Clintonville and Marion.

The schedule for July 25 was Fond du Lac vs. Peshtigo, 6 p.m. in Marion; Waupun vs. Marion/Tigerton, 8 p.m. in Marion; Bonduel vs. Clintonville, 6 p.m. in Clintonville; and Northern Lakes vs. Keshena, 8 p.m. in Clintonville.

The schedule for today is game 1 loser vs. game 3 loser at Marion, 6 p.m.; game 2 loser vs. game 4 loser at Clintonville, 6 p.m.; game 1 winner vs. game 3 winner at Marion, 8 p.m.; and game 2 winner vs. game 4 winner at Clintonville, 8 p.m.

The schedule for July 27 is game 6 winner vs. game 7 loser; game 5 winner vs. game 8 loser; and game 7 winner vs. game 8 winner.

The schedule for July 28 is game 9 winner vs. game 11 loser; game 9 winner vs. Game 11 loser; and game 10 winner vs. game 11 winner. If necessary, a second championship game between the game 12 and game 13 winenrs will be played July 29.

Weyauwega-Fremont’s Legion team is participating in an eight-team Class A regional in Nekoosa July 25-29.

The schedule for July 25 was Mosinee vs. Wittenberg, 10 a.m.; Green Lake vs. Weyauwega-Fremont, 1 p.m.; Ripon vs. Medford, 4 p.m.; and Marathon vs. Nekoosa, 7 p.m.

The schedule for today is game 1 loser vs. game 3 loser, 10 a.m.; game 2 loser vs. game 4 loser, 1 p.m.; game 1 winner vs. game 3 winner, 4 p.m.; and game 2 winner vs. game 4 winner, 7 p.m.

The schedule for July 27 is game 6 winner vs. game 7 loser, noon; game 5 winner vs. game 8 loser, 3 p.m.; game 7 winner vs. game 8 winner, 6 p.m.

The schedule for July 28 is game 9 winner vs. game 11 loser, noon; game 10 winner vs. game 11 winner, 3 p.m.; and game 12 winner vs. game 13 winner, 6 p.m. If necessary, a second championship game between the game 12 game 13 winners will be played at 4 p.m. July 29.

Hortonville and Waushara County will play in a six-team Class AA tournament slated for today through July 29 in Kaukauna.

The schedule for today is Menasha vs. Seymour, 3 p.m.; Berlin vs. Kaukauna, 5:30 p.m.; and Waushara County vs. Hortonville, 8 p.m.

The schedule for July 27 is game 1 loser vs. game 2 loser, 3 p.m.; game 1 winner vs. game 3 loser, 5:30 p.m.; and game 2 winner vs. game 3 winner, 8 p.m.

The schedule for July 28 is game 7, 12:30 p.m.; game 8, 3 p.m.; and game 9, 5:30 p.m.

The schedule for July 29 is game 10, 1 p.m.; and game 11 (if necessary), 3:30 p.m.
