Never Idle Club donates Passage Quilts

Members of the Outagamie County Home & Community Education Never Idle Club recently presented quilts they made to Kent Rusch of the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London.

The group planned, fashioned and designed the quilts over the past six months in an old fashioned quilting bee. The quilts, called “Passage Quilts,” are designed to comfort and be a loving cover for the removal cots used by the funeral home staff when a body is removed from a home, nursing home, hospital or accident scene.

The quilts will be used by Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London, Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville and Shiocton and Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa and Weyauwega.
