Truckers host first gymnastics meet

The Clintonville Gymnastics team hosted its season opener against Oshkosh North/West, on Tueday, Dec. 18. Despite being a Division 1 school the Trucker girls placed first, second and third in All Around.

Amber Krueger , Ali Moon and Laken Wait had a great first meet competing in all four events. Krueger took the third place honor on Floor Exercise.

“We are very excited about the team’s performance for the first meet” said coach Kenfield. “We have three new members on the team this season that have never competed before. They had three or four routines ready and did a great job with their first experience.”

Kenfield said Lindsay Pastovic is great at focusing on each skill and had a no fall beam routine. Moon is a fighter and works to finish each trick. Wait is learning quickly and has natural talent. Amber Krueger is the only returning gymnast and has potential to make it to the state meet. She is continually working on her difficulty and perfecting her execution.

The next meet is Jan. 14, at 6:30pm at Longfellow Gymnasium in Clintonville.
