Jason G. Ratliff, 28, Clintonville, was charged with felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping.
On June 24, Ratliff appeared in court on charges of substantial battery and misdemeanor battery. He was released from custody on a $1,000 signature bond with the condition that he have no contact with the victim named in the criminal complaint.
On June 27, the victim contacted the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department and reported that he had received a call from a woman he suspected was Ratliff’s girlfriend.
According to the criminal complaint, she said she was out of jail.
When the victim asked what she meant by that, he heard a man’s voice in the background say, “Hey, buddy.”
The victim told police that he recognized the voice as Ratliff’s.
