Behind the trio of strong pitchers of the Manawa Summer Rec girls softball team went undefeated.
The pitchers gave up only four earned runs all season.
The team also had strong hitting by Skye Amador, Zielke, Kreklow, Reierson, Lesley Wilz, Matayah Pethke, Josie Claussen, Laynie Bessette, Brook Schernecker and Alexandria Rae.
The team was coached by Ansley Block and Katelyn Langman, who were first team all conference players.
Girls on the team were taught base running, batting, fielding and pitching skills and understanding the game of softball. This coming school year,
Kreklow, Reierson, Amador will be freshman this coming school year. Zielke, Wilz, Pethke, Claussen, Schernecker and Rae will be in eighth grade. Bessette will be in seventh grade.
“I’m happy to have these girls in the Manawa softball program and I am looking forward to being a strong contender for years to come,” said Todd Zielke, head coach of the Manawa girls high school softball team.
