Waupaca’s girls’ golf team wrapped up the regular season Sept. 25 by placing sixth at the Eastern Valley Conference Meet at Wander Springs Golf Course.
Fox Valley Lutheran won the meet and wrapped up the overall EVC championship with a round of 362. Other scores were Appleton Xavier (386), Freedom (407), Wrightstown (417), Little Chute (458), Waupaca (462) and Bonduel (495).
Alexis Colden had the low round of the meet for the Comets with a 107, followed by Natasha Hales (113), Morgan Smith (119), Kaylee Biba (123) and Emily Barlow (141).
FVL’s Kayla Priebe earned medalist honors with an 80.
The Comets hosted a Division 1 regional meet Oct. 2 at Waupaca’s Foxfire Golf Club. Besides the Comets, the meet also included teams from Appleton East, Appleton North, Appleton West, Hortonville, Neenah, Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West. Qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the Hartford Union Sectional, set for Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Hartford Golf Club in Hartford.
