The Bulldog tennis team picked up another win in a close battle with Oshkosh Lourdes on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Both teams played great tennis, and the meet came down to the final match. New London earned the victory when Lady Bulldog Andrea LeNoble beat Maddie McDonald, 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.

In other singles action, New London’s Courtney Olson lost to Jenna Janssen, 6-0, 6-4. Marina Solberg lost to Liz Glowcheski, 6-2, 1-6, 8-10. Mackinzie Leahy lost to Sara Weber, 4-6, 6-1, 6-10.

In doubles, New London’s Emma White and Amber Pethke beat Mara Resop and Abby Schaefers, 6-3, 7-5. Carissa Franzmeier and Katelyn Leach beat Alex Masini and Kate Cheskie, 6-2, 6-0. Stephanie Gossens and Schulyer Van Dreel beat Christina Pearlman and Matty Hayes, 6-3, 6-1.

Bay Invite

The team earned a second place finish at the Bay Conference Invite on Thursday, Oct. 3.

West De Pere won the Invite with 12 points. New London scored 8, Shawano had 6, and Marinette had two.

Solberg was the No. 3 singles champion.
