Rose Elsie Carlson, 90, of Iola died Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at Iola Living Assistance.

Rose was born in Town of Dupont, Wisconsin on February 11, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Lilly (Arndt) Begrow. She married Stanley H. Carlson on July 31st, 1948 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dupont, Waupaca County. He preceded her in death on Sept 19. 2002. Rose was a member St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Big Falls where she enjoyed doing volunteer work. He favorite time of year was during Thanksgiving and Christmas; cooking for her family and sharing many memories. She also enjoyed working with ceramics, fishing, gardening, quilting and going to family reunions. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her Sons: Larry (Pat) Carlson of Black Creek, WI. Ken (Doris Wheaton) Carlson of Scandinavia. Jimmy (Patti) Carlson of Greenville. Donald (Marsha) Carlson of Iola. 8 Grandchildren: Stanley Carlson, Jennifer (Jake) Biggar, Martin (Lauryn) Carlson, Adam Carlson, Donald Carlson Jr. Darrell (Heidi) Carlson, Melissa Carlson and Amber Carlson. 8 Great Grandchildren: Daniel, Ahna, Madalyn, Nevadah, Jayce, Ethan, Bryce, Wyatt. Sisters: Ruth Miller, Jeannie Neubauer, Adeline Pockat. Brothers: Carlton (Anne) Begrow, Glen (Bernice) Begrow, Bill (Secret) Begrow. She was preceded in death by Sisters: Margaret Krueger, Ervie Nollenberg, Dorothy Wudstrack, Irma Bestul and Brother: Augie Begrow.

The Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Big Falls, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27th, with Reverend Janice Kuder officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Big Falls Cemetery in the Town of Wyoming, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. The family would like to thank the staff at Iola Living Assistance for the excellent care provided to Rose and her family while she was a resident.
