Shiocton Mitch Ebben turned out to be too much for the Iola-Scandinavia baseball team.
Ebben took a no-hitter in the sixth inning and held the Thunderbirds to two hits May 11 in a 5-1 win.
Shiocton scored a run in the top of the first inning and added two more in the fourth and one in the fifth.
The T-Birds came up with a run in the bottom of the fifth, but Shiocton added a fifth run in the sixth.
Cam Gruenwald took the loss for the T-Birds.
I-S also picked up a 13-4 win May 4 at Manawa, with Brady Snyder getting the win on the mound.
The T-Birds will host Bonduel Thursday, May 14, in a CWC-8 doubleheader. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
